Transportation to OLC

Transportation should be given serious consideration before enrolling at OLC. Transportation to and from school is the responsibility of the student and the student's family.

Transportation issues must be discussed with the student's guidance counselor and OLC director prior to enrollment.

Although it is understandable to occasionally have a vehicle issue, absences due to transportation issues are not excused absences.

Some OLC students have made transportation arrangements with another student that attends OLC. CHS/OLC does not recommend completely relying on a friend for transportation. It would be recommended to have a back up transportation plan. Relying completely on a friend could prove unreliable if/when the friend's vehicle is unavailable or non-working, or if the friend calls in sick for the day.

A half day student that does not drive needs transportation to and from school two times a day, and a full day student needs transportation two times day as well and will need to pack food for lunch.

Students may arrive only 10 minutes prior to the start of their session due to supervision.
Full-day student must stay on campus and provide their own lunch from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM.
