College and Military Representatives will be here during lunch time in the 10-12 Cafeteria. During your lunch go to the stage to visit with the representatives to learn more about their college or branch of service.

*Are you interested in a skilled trade after high school?  Are you interested in just exploring what is out there? On Oct 1st, Ivy Tech is sponsoring a Skilled Trades Exploration Career Fair where over 50 local industry employers will be available for you to learn about the trades including construction, advanced manufacturing, machining, welding, design technology and automotive. If you are interested in attending this fair, please sign up outside of guidance on the 10-12 side, or, in the CFC office. Deadline to sign up to attend is Sept 22nd


Picture Retake Day - NEXT Wednesday, September 22nd
For ALL students 9-12 - if you did NOT get your picture taken at registration or need to retake them. Remember all dress code rules apply. Seniors – this is for the year book head shot so dress VERY nicely (collared shirts, tie, sweaters, etc). Staff – this is your day for pictures as well.

Shot Records:
If you have your senior meningitis shot record in your car, locker, or at home – you NEED to bring it into the nurse. The exclusion date is Sept. 20th.  If you did NOT receive a letter in the mail in early September this does not apply to you. 

2023 EF Trip to Europe
Informational meeting on Wednesday, September 22nd at 6:00 p.m. for the 2023 EF trip to Europe. If you would like to learn more about traveling to London, Paris, Florence, and Rome in the summer of 2023, scan the QR code on one of the flyers around the school or stop in to room 240 talk to Mr. Smith.

Students Driving to School at this time:
You NEED to have a CHS student parking permit displayed in your vehicle. To purchase a permit ---- bring your driver’s licenses, vehicle registration for the car you are driving, and $30.00 cash or check to student services before or after school.

Teacher of the Month:
Students nominate your teacher for Teacher of the Month. Forms are available in a 10-12 Student Services or at the CFC office.




*Chargers Fighting Cancer – PINK OUT
Carroll --- we’ve got exciting news!!! This year’s Pink-Out Game is going DISTRICT WIDE! Shirts are SUPER SHARP and on sale online now through Sunday, Sept 26th! Flyers with the store link are posted around the school or available for pickup outside Mrs. Kieffer’s room (102) and Ms. Mohr’s room (A20). We’ll be doing a DISTRICT WIDE PINK-OUT day on Thursday, October 14th where we can all wear our shirts. Come decked out in your PINK-OUT gear!!

*Speech Debate Team:
Interested in becoming a part of the Speech and Debate team? Attend a callout meeting after school on Sept. 20 or Sept 22nd at 3:45 in room 231. All are welcome. Questions – see Mrs. Mize.

Attention members – Mark Your Calendars – 2 events next week -
Concert on the Lawn – Monday, September 20th – We will hosting the Concert on the Lawn from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Bring: lawn chair or blanket to sit on and a snack to share. MUST sign up in the Ag. Room 411 to get more information.

Tailgate Party - Thursday, Sept. 23rd– we will be hosting a tailgate party prior to the Champions Together Football game. Come be a part of the FUN – food will be provided….Sign-Up in room 411. We will attend the football game together to cheer on the team.

*Any Boy or Girl track athlete who competed at the Sectional Track meet last Spring - stop by Coach Miller’s Room (101) IF you have not picked up your Sectional Patch.

*Unified Flag Football - defeated Dekalb on Tuesday night 25-24 and last night they defeated New Haven.

 *Last night the girls’ golf team defeated Snider at Autumn Ridge 169-202 ending their regular season with a record or 10-3.  Marissa GeRue was medalist with 37, Macy Neal with an eagle on #4 shot 41, Tori Straley 45, Maggie Carr 46 and Gaby Frick 49.  Good luck at Sectional today!

 *The freshman football team defeated Northrop last night 48-0, bringing their season record to 3-1.

 *Girls Varsity Soccer team settled for a tie against Northrop last night 1-1.  The only goal was scored by Ella Theard
