Health Professions and Nursing Scholarships

We recognize that our region needs highly trained, compassionate healthcare professionals. The Lutheran Foundation has 20 restricted scholarship funds to invest in individuals pursuing a nursing or other healthcare profession degree. 

You do not need to be Lutheran to be eligible or apply for this scholarship!

Eligibility requirements

  • Must have permanent residence in one of the following Indiana counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, or Whitley.
  • Must be pursuing a career in nursing or other healthcare field.
  • Must attend an eligible college or university (listed below).
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be a high school senior, a current college student, a second career/older student, or planning to attend college in the upcoming school year.

    Deadline

    Application Deadline - February 1 (noon)
    Decision Date - March 31

    Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
    If the grant deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, it is extended to the next business day at noon.
    Notification of the scholarship decision will be emailed by April 10.
