GUIDANCE: 
*Attention all students.  Carroll High School is hosting our Annual College and Career Fair TONIGHT Tuesday, March 10th from 6-7:30PM.  Representatives from 2 year, 4 year, and vocational schools as well as various branches of the military will be in attendance.  Additionally, representatives from various internship sites will be in attendance to help students enrolled in senior internship classes next school year select a site.  If you have any questions, please see your Guidance Counselor or Mrs. Pickett in Student Services.  We look forward to seeing you there!

*Ready for fun and excitement?  Join the Indiana Army National Guard from 6-8 p.m. on March 12th, as they celebrate freedom at Combat Ops Entertainment located on Ley Road in Fort Wayne.  Juniors and seniors are welcome with guardian approval.  Join the National Guard for an evening of Axe Throwing, Lazer Tag, Unlimited Arcade Games, and Pizza.  Sign up is outside of guidance and you must sign up by the end of the school day on Tuesday, March 10th.  A total of 16 junior and senior students can attend.

*Students interested in attending a Career Fair at Ivy Tech on April 22nd should sign up outside of guidance by April 13th.  This is an opportunity for any student to learn about careers specifically in manufacturing and construction.  Students would leave from Carroll at 8:30 and would return by A lunch.  If you have questions, see your counselor or Mrs. Gerber in the guidance office.

*Work Permits – you MUST bring in your birth certificate and a completed intent to employ form to guidance in order to get a work permit.

CLUBS/ACTIVITIES:
*Spikeball club – 10-12 students only – In order to attend the rest of the meetings this year….. You must sign-up in Kelty’s room – 155. First come first served until it is full.

*It's that time of year! RAKtivists are preparing for their 6th annual EGG HUNT! Please bring in candy and eggs to donate and drop them off at the office or in Mrs. Wisehart's room, 250!

*Carroll’s Got Talent --- Do you have a talent you want to share with the whole school? Student Council is sponsoring the Talent Show of the Year on Friday April 24th. In order to be a part of the show – YOU must audition. Pick up an Audition Form in 10-12 Student Services. Forms are due back to Student Services by Friday, March 20th. Auditions will be Monday, March 23rd through Wednesday, March 25th.

*The meeting for the new members of the Spanish Honor Society for after school on Wednesday has been cancelled.  Please see Canvas for the information you’ll need for next week.

 

 

 

ATHLETICS:  
*If you are interested in trying out for Carroll softball team, tryouts are TODAY and TOMORROW. Meet in the commons area at 4:00.

 

 

IN CHARGER ACTION:
*Carroll's Radio and Television 2 class attended the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters State Conference and Awards Ceremony on Monday. We went up against 50 other high school and career center programsDaisy Macias earned the award of Best Music Video in the state. This is a state championship in this category!

Brandon Hedges was named in the top 6 of all TV anchors in the state of Indiana.

Daisy Macias and JP Susantio earned 2nd place in the corporate video category

Jacob Inman earned third place in the radio drama category

Jacob Inman and Brandon Hedges earned third place in the news package category

JP Susantio earned an honorable mention in the short film category

Studio 415 earned an honorable mention in the TV Newscast category

JP Susantio and Daisy Macias earned an honorable mention in the video in depth category
