GUIDANCE: 

Colleges will be coming to Carroll.

Juniors and Seniors are allowed to attend.

Students must sign up outside of the guidance office by the day before the visit.

Students ONLY sign up if you are serious about attending.

DO NOT sign up your friends – YOU can ONLY sign yourself up to attend.

Tues. Oct. 15th – 2:00 pm Wittenberg University

 

 

On Thursday, Nov 14th, there will be a Health Professions Day held at the Parkview Education Center.  This is an opportunity to learn about various health careers.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities in order to receive a better understanding of a day in the life of health care professionals.  If interested in attending, please sign up outside of guidance by Oct 15th.

 

 

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Elf - The Musical:

He traveled through the Candy Cane Forest, and the Lincoln Tunnel, but is now travelling to Carroll High School! Buddy the Elf is making his way to CHS this November in the musical, Elf! Join Buddy, a grown man who thinks he is an elf, travel from the North Pole to be reconnected with his estranged father in the Big Apple! Come laugh at the hilarity of the situation as Buddy navigates a new city, dealing with New York citizens, finding his father, gaining a brother and a mother, meeting the love of his life, all while helping Santa by getting others into the Christmas Spirit. This hilarious musical is one that you will not want to miss! The show runs November 21, 22, and 23 at 7:00 and 2:00 on November 24. Tickets may be purchased at the door! 

 

 

 

 

FRESHMAN:

*Jostens will be back TOMORROW - Tuesday, October 15th during lunch to take orders for your class ring.  A deposit of $75.00 along with the completed form will be needed to place your order.

 

 

 

 

CLUBS/ACTIVITIES:

*Sources of Strength Peer Leaders:  Please turn in your permission slip ASAP, for the training later this month.  Also, please make sure you have completed the Google Form that Mrs. Bowland emailed to you.  Thank you!

IN CHARGER ACTION:

*The girls’ soccer team defeated Snider 6-0 on Saturday to win the East Noble sectional. Maddy Welker and Kelsi Hoot each scored two goals. Bailee Long and Ella Theard also scored. Sarah Mullins recorded two assists. Sarah Hauser, Ella Theard and Jessica Till each had one assist. The team plays next Saturday in the Logansport Regional against Noblesville.

 

*The Speech Team competed at Bishop Dwenger in their first meet of the season with the following placements:

  • Annabella Gardt placed 2nd in Broadcasting and 1st in Original Performance.
  • Haylee Givens placed 2nd in Dramatic Interp and Humorous Interp.
  • Noah Johnson placed 2nd in Impromptu Speaking and 2nd in United States Extemp.
  • Gracie Rose placed 2nd in Original Performance.
  • Kevin Wang placed 1st in both Impromptu Speaking and United States Extemp.

The team placed 2nd overall in sweepstakes.
