IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Early Dismals

10-12 Students if you are given an EARLY DISMAL PASS you MUST sign out in STUDENT SERVICES ---- BEFORE you leave the building.

Freshman Students – IF you are given an EARLY DISMAL PASS --- you MUST sign out in the Freshman Office ---- BEFORE you leave the building.

 

School Emails

*All STUDENTS ---- You NEED to be checking your school emails every day. Staff and teachers are sending reminders and information to you via emails.

 

Backpacks

*You are allowed to carry 1 backpack from class to class. Everyone has been assigned a locker or there are day lockers you can use by the weight room if you need a place to keep a backpack.

NO backpacks are permitted in the Food Lines during breakfast or lunch.

 

Parking Permits

Students if you are driving to school ---- YOU NEED a 23-24 Carroll Parking Permit in your vehicle.

To purchase a parking permit --- Bring your driver’s license, vehicle registration and $30.00 cash or check to student services. All vehicles that are in the student lot NEED to have a 23-24 CHS permit on it.

 

Closed Lunch/Food Deliveries

*CHS has a “CLOSED” lunch policy.

This means:

  • Students are NOT ALLOWED to leave campus just for eating lunch.
  • NO restaurant/fast food is to be brought into the cafeteria during lunch. If you are coming to school from Internship/Appointments/Running Late and have purchased food from a restaurant on your way here – you MUST finish eating it in your car.
  • NO restaurant/fast food can be ordered and/or delivered to students via food delivery services during school hours. If you try to have food delivered during school hours to any door --- your food will be denied. It will NOT be kept for pick up at the end of the day.

 

 

 

GUIDANCE: 

*Attention sophomores and juniors who are looking for a great leadership opportunity – Stop in the guidance office and pick up information on the Pave the Path Summit Leadership Program.  This is an opportunity for you to examine your own personal brand and connect this personal brand to leadership and entrepreneurial skills.  See Ms. Lehman in the guidance office if interested in this great program.

 

*Any student who is 16 or 17 years old and interested in helping work the election polls in November should stop by the guidance office and pick up an application and information.  If you have questions, see Ms. Lehman in the guidance office.

 

*Juniors and Seniors - Trine University will be here to tell students all about admission requirements, majors offered, and more on Sept 27th during Activity Period. Sign up in the guidance office. To sign up - Juniors and seniors must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be working towards at least a Core 40 diploma.  Sign up anytime between now and before school on Sept 26th. 

 

 

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Sophomore Health classes – 1st, 2nd, 3rd periods will be meeting in the Small Auditorium today.

Sophomore Health classes – 5th, 6th, 7th

 

 

CLUBS/ACTIVITIES:

Calling all travelers! Once-in-a-lifetime trip to London, Paris, and the Alps!  There will be an informational meeting in the MPR at 6:00 p.m. this Thursday, September 28th. Scan one of the flyers around the school to register or see Mr. Smith in room 240 if you have any questions.

 

 

FRESHMEN:

Freshman!  Be looking for an email to VOTE for your STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS.

Voting is NOW thru TOMORROW at midnight.

 

 

ATHLETICS:

*Do you want to get some volunteer hours and have fun doing it?  We are looking for volunteers to help with Friday Night Football Concessions.  See Mrs. Sigmon or Mr. Ginder for more details.

 

*There will be a Wrestling Call out meeting in the Small Auditorium this Wednesday (9-27) during activity period.

 

 

IN CHARGER ACTION:

*The girls’ varsity and JV soccer teams both posted shutout victories over Concord on Saturday. In the varsity game goals were scored by Josslyn Goss, Leila Mojtahedi, Faithlyn Bennett, Ava Krillenberger, Regan Konow, Brynn Patterson, Cecilla Yates, Nadia Ford and Grace Glick. Assists were by Melody Hyde, Mojtahedi, Bennett, Aleah Douglass and Yates.

 

*Congratulations to the girls’ golf team earning Regionals Runner-up with a 313 and advancing to the State Finals on this coming Friday and Saturday. Taylor Larkins 72, Marissa GeRue 74, Gaby Frick 80, Maggie Carr 87, Brianna Wing 95. Good luck at the State Finals.
