After 30+ years of the Carroll Girls Soccer Team being led by now retired head coach Rick Smith, Carroll Girls Soccer has hired their new head coach to lead the Program! Logan Cochran, will take the reigns this upcoming season in 2026 and will look to continue the Chargers winning ways and extend the great culture that was build by coach Smith!
Cochran previously coached at Bishop Dwenger high school for the last 3 years, with the previous season in 2025 being the head coach. Prior to being at Bishop Dwenger, Cochran coached at the University of Saint Francis after leaving DeKalb High School where he spent 10 years in the girls soccer program there, 5 of those being the head coach. Cochran comes to Carroll with a career record of 80-23-10, 3 sectional titles, 4 conference titles and 3 Northern Indiana Coach of the Year Awards (2018, 2019, 2020) along with an Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award (2020) in just 6 seasons as a head coach. Cochran is currently a teacher in NACS at Huntertown Elementary and will be the first ever girls head soccer coach at Wilow Creek Middle School starting in the Spring of 2027.
