Office hours are 1p.m.- 3:40 p.m. Teachers are available via email and will respond to student questions.
School-day expectations -- Teachers
● Teachers will move instruction forward in an interactive lesson between teacher and students. ● Teachers are expected to remain with students in the Google Meet the entire class time. ● Teachers will have a synchronous learning button clearly posted on their Canvas Homepage that takes them to the provided synchronous learning page used by all teachers.
● Teachers will record one (1) session of each course (if you teach multiple courses, you will have multiple recordings) and post the recording(s) to Canvas for absent students
● Teachers are not required to assign homework at the end of the lesson, but if they do, the maximum time needed to complete any homework should not exceed 20 minutes. ● Professional dress and setting are expected from teachers
● Teachers will take accurate attendance during the Google Meet and check the Google Meet report and update attendance until 8:30 AM the following day. Teachers are only marking Present or Unverified.
● A Completed Google Form will also count as attendance. Google Form for emergencies ● On Wednesdays only, Counselors will stream a lesson during homeroom time. ● Special Education teachers will provide instruction in the same capacity as they would in person. ○ Plug-in teachers attend the Google Meet of the class they plug-in to
○ Strategic teachers provide Google Meet for Strategic Instruction
○ Co-Teachers co-teach the virtual class
School-day expectations -- Students
● Students are expected to attend each class and to remain in the Google Meet the entire class time.
● If you are unable to attend class, you are still expected to view the recorded lesson and fill out the attendance form.
● If there is an emergency, teachers will have a Google Form for them to complete attendance ● Students will have cameras on and their face will be visible
● School dress code applies.
● Students should create a work place conducive to learning (consider your environment) ● “Passing Periods” are your time to use the restroom and take breaks.
● Students will report to strategic instruction
● Teachers will have office hours from 1 pm -3:40 pm.
